What I've been up to!

Ok so I've been super busy lately which is why I haven't been on. 

At school we have started our next sesion known as back office where we learn blood draws, injections, ect.  So I've had to start learning new material.  Poking people with needles is not as easy as you would think!!!

Little Ms. Phoenix is now seven months old! Ugh I can't believe it.

And on top of all of that Brock and I are moving into our first appartment!  I'm so excited for this.  Anyway with that I promise to post decor ideas and some home tutorials.

In addition I've been working on an embroidery project for a tutorial over at Prudent Baby.  It's called use your words.  The person who wins gets an embroidery machine!

Mother's Day

Well this year will be my first Mother's Day and I'm very excited! 

For this mother's day I'm making my mother silhouette plates of my sister and I based on this tutorial from Prudent Baby.  (My FAVORITE blog!)

Pillow Case Dress

This is super simple and very cheap!  And I must say I feel so accomplished two tutorials in one night!

For this project you will need....

• a pillow case (duh)
• scissors or rotary cutter
• elastic
• sewing machine and thread
• safety pin(s)

Jersey tee into a crop vest.

Seriously this is the easiest thing ever....just follow the pictures!  And it doesn't have to be worn like this, think of how cute this could be as a swim suit cover up or with sweats and a tank underneath.  Inspired by this post......click here

Start with a mens tee (this is a medium)

Cut off the sleeves and neck and make a semi circle cut on the bottom (this is best done when folded in half....I learned that the hard way!)

Your done!!! I used some scrap fabric to tie the back.

Keeping it Simple

I'm a slacker....and I'm ok with that.

By now you may have realised...I'm NOT a faithful blogger.  Really I'm not.  I try to be but I'm just not there yet. 

So what's going on lately?

Planning a wedding is a big chunk of what is making me busy, along with school and of course baby Phoenix who is now 6 months old!!!  God it feels like just the other day I found out I was pregnant.  Pause to reminisce.....

I'm the worst blogger ever.

Ok so you may have noticed by now I'm not consistent.  I've got a lot on my plate and for the past couple days I've been in be because of my back :(

Well I've now decided I need to make some goals for myself for how often I blog. 

1. I would like to blog every other day if possible
2. I would like to do a tutorial every week
3. I'm going to be a better blogger!

Yesterday night the fiance' and I went to the Coyotes vs. Stars hockey game with Phoenix, my dad, and my little sister.  Can I just say that I think the refs were bought off because there were not nearly enough calls made against the stars as their should have been!  But still Coyotes win in the shoot out so ha!  Anyways....a couple days ago I took pictures of my friend Alicia's baby and here is what we got...
