Pillow Case Dress

This is super simple and very cheap!  And I must say I feel so accomplished two tutorials in one night!

For this project you will need....
  • a pillow case (duh)
  • scissors or rotary cutter
  • elastic
  • sewing machine and thread
  • safety pin(s)

Cut your pillow case to desired length

Sew a casing big enough to fit your elastic inside ( i would pin this just to make it easier)

After you finish sewing the casing, find the side seem (the one that was previously done before you started to work with it) and cut it like so....

And insert your elastic using a safety pin.  I pin the other end to the fabric so it won't get lost.

Sew the elastic ends together and than sew back up the sides.

Now at this point you can stop if you are OK with little babies in tube tops....personally not what I like but hey that why it's called an opinion, not everyone has to agree!

I sewed a long strip of fabric into a casing long enough to become a halter and than added elastic to it (see next image)

Than I sewed that onto the front of the dress and viola!!!

One finished and super cute pillowcase dress!!!
